Land earmarked for retirement village in Ballina, NSW, on sale

The sole beachside development parcel in NSW’s Ballina Shire with approval for a 124-bed retirement village has been put on the market.

Clarence Property Group has confirmed the 4.17 hectare site, is on Montwood Drive within the Epiq Lennox Head precinct. It also has the potential for 118 townhouses.

The release is being marketed by CBRE’s Mark Witheriff and Colliers International’s Brendan Hogan via an expressions of interest campaign closing 22 June.

“This site is being offered at a time when there is strong demand from both homeowners and retirees in the Lennox-Ballina region, with the local median house price now tipping $1 million as buyers compete for a limited supply of new property,” CBRE Managing Director, Gold Coast, Mark Witheriff, told the Ballina Shire Advocate.

“The approval and concept plan in place for the site are perfectly aligned to the type of buyer active in the region, meaning the purchaser will be able to leverage the heat in the current market.”
