The town, between Seymour and Shepparton, over 100km north of Melbourne, is known as the Jewel of Victoria, due to the picturesque Lake Nagambie, the Strathbogie Ranges and its wine. It also is the birthplace of champion racehorse Black Caviar.
Nagambie Caravan Park has morphed into Nagambie Lifestyle Park and it is building new homes for over 55s under the land lease model: no stamp duty, and no entry or exit fees. The inaugural open days are on Saturday, October 19, and Sunday, October 20, when display homes will be open, with prices starting from $199,000.
The homes in Stage One of the over 55s residential expansion are selling out, with more to be added in the coming months. Community facilities are also being progressively upgraded as part of long-term plans.
