The Gold Coast-based land lease owner/operator’s latest community will be on almost 150ha of bordering Deception Bay Conservation Park, near the towns of Redcliffe and Scarborough in QLD’s Moreton Bay.
All 553 homes will look out on either a lake or parkland.
GemLife Director and CEO Adrian Puljich said it will unlike any other GemLife resort, an evolution in the design and operation of a land lease community.
It will be a seven-star energy rated resort and is targeted at over-50s who are conscious of the environmental impact of their lifestyles and want to enjoy and protect the area’s natural beauty.
“We see a massive shift towards being environmentally responsible, and we take that responsibility very seriously,” said Adrian. “Long gone are the days of just providing solar panels and saying that you’re providing a solar solution to reduce electricity costs.
“We’re going above and beyond that to provide meaningful impacts, both financially and in terms of social responsibility, where our homeowners participate in a solution that seeks to enhance the environment in which they live.”
GemLife Moreton Bay Stage One will be released in the third quarter of 2023.
