Ingenia Communities' Chief Investment Officer and General Counsel Natalie Kwok leaves after 12 years and seven months service

Natalie has been instrumental to where Ingenia Communities is today: an ASX-listed business with a $2.07 billion market capitalisation.

She also has been instrumental in putting the land lease sector for retirees where it is today: A $12 billion sector now an accepted market for foreign and domesic investment. She is Chair of the advocacy organisation Residential Land Lease Alliance, a sub-committee of the Caravan Industry Association of Australia.

She was appointed by Simon Owen soon after he created Ingenia, which was then valued at $30 million. Natalie's role cannot be understated as Ingenia became a manufactured home operator for over 55s, a rental village operator and a holiday park operator.

With Ingenia under a new CEO John Carfi after Simon Owen's decision to resign in November last year and Chair Jim Hazel stepping down at the AGM in November last year, Natalie has also left.

She announced her departure on LinkedIn, "The last 12 years have been a blast. I am very proud to have been part of the team that worked tirelessly to drive Ingenia from a small cap in 2012 to a successful ASX200 that it is today. Ingenia was one of the first to corporatise the land lease and holiday park sectors in Australia, and rapidly grew its market share to become a leader. It has been amazing to see the growth of the sectors and to have played a part in advocacy for the good of the industry."

It says a lot of Natalie's importance by who commented:

Bob Browne, General Counsel at Land Lease Living & Caravan and Camping Industry Association of NSW: "You were one of those who made the difference - you are responsible for the great housing option of land lease living that we are now experiencing. Thank you for your leadership and professional and insightful approach to this industry."

Simon Owen, now CEO of Eureka Group: "Nat - it wouldn’t have happened without you!! You should be incredibly proud of everything you have achieved and contributed at Ingenia."

Jim Hazel: "Brilliant contribution Kwok."

Michael Rabey, Ingenia Head of Development NSW & Vic: "A lot of people have a lot to thank you for Nat; most of all, you have left an indelible mark on a great company and so many of its people. We are all grateful for having worked with you and hope for our sake you stay in the industry."

Kate Melrose: Ingenia's Executive General Manager Projects and Sales for 10 years: "Nat the growth of Ingenia owes so much to your incredible hard work, wisdom and capacity to build a pipeline of awesome assets that were a privilege to take to market and that are now home to 1,000s of peeps living their best lives. 10 years of spend and sell together has been a privilege."
