Ingenia selects Shane Gannon to be Chair with Jim Hazel’s planned departure in November

Shane Gannon has been appointed a non-executive member of the Board and chosen to replace Jim Hazel as Chair of the ASX-listed owner/operator of land lease, rental and holiday parks. 

Shane brings extensive experience in finance and real estate with executive roles spanning 40 years within ASX listed entities. Jim Hazel steps down at the AGM in November. 

Shane held Chief Financial Officer roles with Mirvac, Endeavour Group, Goodman Fielder and Dyno Nobel and is currently a director of GPT Group. 

Simon Shakesheff (pictured below) has also been appointed to the board.  

His experience includes over 30 years in the finance and real estate industry with roles including equities analyst covering listed real estate and retail companies at Macquarie Bank and JP Morgan.  

He has been a corporate advisor to major real estate groups, at UBS and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Simon was formerly the Head of Strategy and Stakeholder Relations at Stockland Trust Group.  

He is currently Chair of HomeCo Daily Needs REIT and Kiwi Property Group, plus a non-executive director of Cbus Property, St George Community Housing and Assembly Funds Management.  

On 11 March 2024, it was announced Lisa Scenna would become a Non-Executive Director on 1 May 2024.  

Following Lisa’s appointment, Amanda Heyworth will step down from the Board on 20 June 2024. Amanda has been on the Board for 12 years. 

“The Board continues to actively manage Board renewal, with additional changes anticipated to be announced in advance of the AGM, to further align the Board capabilities and skills to the future requirements of Ingenia,” said the company.
