Senior Constable Kristian White, who has been charged over the 2023 death of 95-year-old aged care resident Clare Nowland, will face a four-week jury trial in the NSW Supreme Court starting on 11 November.

White appeared in court last week seeking a judge-only trial. In that hearing, White confirmed he will not argue he was acting in self defence.

The NSW police officer has pleaded not guilty to one count of manslaughter over the death of Nowland.

White allegedly Tasered Nowland, who weighted only 43 kilograms at the time and was living with dementia, in a Cooma aged care home, more than 100km south of Sydney, on 17 May 2023. She died a week later from inoperable bleeding on the brain.

White remains suspended from the NSW Police with pay.
