Caravan & Camping Industry Association NSW posthumously elect Theo Whitmont as Life Member

Theo had served on the Caravan & Camping Industry Association NSW’s Board of Directors since 2006. He was President of the CCIA NSW from 2009 to 2020 and Treasurer from 2020 to 2024. Theo also served on the Board of BIG4 Holiday Parks from 2016 to 2024.

Theo is the 8th Life Member of CCIA NSW, an honour given only to those who have made significant contributions to the success of the industry and the CCIA NSW over many years.

“Theo will be missed by so many and will forever be remembered as a strong industry leader, a kind and caring mentor and friend, and a loving and devoted family man,” said CCIA NSW.

"Incredible acknowledgement for an individual who gave so much. Well done to the board of CCIA NSW for putting this forward,” Stuart Lamont, Chief Executive Officer of Caravan Industry Association of Australia, said.

Rob Nichols, Serenitas CEO, said Theo was a camping and caravaning industry Titan “and a true gentleman”.
