The site near the centre of the suburb, 18km northwest of Sydney's CBD, currently provides 43 independent units and a 39-bed residential aged care home.

UPA (United Protestant Association of New South Wales) has lodged plans for a $117 million redevelopment for a new seniors housing complex containing 84 independent living units, for up to 120 people, across four buildings up to six storeys high.

The proposal would involve the demolition of five buildings on the site, located between the Pacific Highway, Ada Ave, and Munderah St.
