Aegis Aged Care subsidiary Aegis Events has received approval to increase the number of patrons allowed at functions held in its Montgomery Hall Ballroom, which is located behind Montgomery House aged care facility, in Mt Claremont, 9km west of the Perth CBD.
The capacity increase will allow larger functions to be held at the site, such as performances, an Aegis spokesperson told The SOURCE.
Family-owned Aegis Aged Care is one of the largest aged care providers in Western Australia, with 29 aged care home homes around Perth, from Alkimos, 42km north of Perth, down to as far south as Busselton, 220km south of Perth.
Aegis acquired the Montgomery House Mt Claremont group of heritage buildings in 2012, and has transformed them into a luxury, 80-bed aged care home.
Montgomery House RADs range from $350,000 up to $950,000.
The SOURCE: Using buildings around the aged care facility for events and functions provides an additional income stream for the provider.
