Stage One of the Noble Life’s resort in New Norfolk, a riverside town 20km from Hobart, will see 26 two- and three-bedroom homes built.
Civil works began earlier this month on the 186-homes New Norfolk Resort land lease community on 9.5ha of land which will include a private clubhouse with a cinema, library, sports lounge, heated indoor pool, sauna, massage rooms, yoga studio and gym.
Brothers Daniel and Roger Noble are continuing their late father’s legacy, which has built retirement resorts in Queensland and New South Wales for almost a quarter of a century.
“We share our late father’s passion for creating beautiful communities from the ground up,” Daniel said.
“Together, we’ve turned greenfields into luxury communities where people can live their best lives, in places like Hervey Bay, Kingscliff and Rockhampton.”
“When we first saw this spot here in New Norfolk, we knew instantly that there was something special here that we wanted more people to be able to enjoy and that’s really driven us every step of the way to reach this point of realising the project.”
He added the project was back on track after suffering a devastating blow when a wider project slated for the area, known as The Mills, went into administration in 2024.
“That was really devastating. Like many locals, we are one of the many unsecured creditors who lost money, so we really do understand that pain,” Daniel said.
“But for us, the most devastating part is the thought that locals might put us in the same bucket as them – We are not The Mills, we’re Noble Life, and we pride ourselves on our long and proud history of delivering what we promise to our communities.”
