Is this the future? UPA Wahroonga to add a net 106 ILUs and lose 41 care beds in $178M plan

The State Significant Development for the existing site, 18km northwest of Sydney’s CBD, has reached the Exhibition stage with 132 new independent living units replacing 26 ILUs and 41 residential aged care beds.

The proposed development is to replace buildings no longer fit for purpose.

The proposal will see six new buildings, five to seven storeys in height.

This will add to the retained 35 ILUs and 56 residential aged care beds.

UPA’s 23 retirement villages have more than 580 units, villas and apartments. It also operates 17 residential care homes and provides in-home care services.
