Platino Properties’ $19.3 million Community Apartment Project (CAP) plan at Greenwich, on Sydney’s Lower North Shore, has received planning approval.
The eight-storey project on the Pacific Highway, which will feature 37 independent living units as well as outdoor terraces, GP and health space, ground floor shops, 53 car spaces, and views of the Blue Mountains and Gore Hill Cemetery on respective sides, has been approved by the Lane Cove Local Planning Panel after being proposed late last year.
Platino’s move into retirement living is being guided by Simon Militano, the Ex Head of Development for Lendlease retirement.
Architecture and planning firm Keylan Consulting, which worked with Platino on the plans, has celebrated the decision.
“The development is of high-quality design and will provide much-needed seniors housing in close proximity to major health facilities, transport and retail services," the firm said.

There are already four retirement villages in the area; currently the site is occupied by a number of businesses including a Jaycar Electronics.
