Six organisations have been nominated as finalists for aged care categories in the 2022 HESTA Excellence Awards.
ACH Group, Brightwater Care and St Vincent’s Care Services are among the organisations nominated in two categories, Outstanding Organisation – Aged Care and Team Excellence – Aged Care.
The aged care nominees are:
Outstanding Organisation
- ACH Group, for its Connected Communities Strategy
- Activus Transport, for its Just4Blokes Program
- HealthX, for its efforts to address workforce shortages in aged care
Team Excellence
- Consumer Experience Team at St Vincent’s Care Services, for improving resident and family experience
- Falls Improvement Program Team at Brightwater Care Group, for implementing evidence-based fall prevention strategies that cut falls by 28% in six months
- Specialist Community Palliative Care Team at Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District, for supporting culturally safe First Nations aged care
“HESTA is proud to help share the stories and amazing achievements of these wonderful finalists, who through their work each day demonstrate such care and compassion for Australian communities, improving health and wellbeing outcomes,” said HESTA CEO Debby Blakey (pictured).
The first HESTA Excellence Awards were held in 2020; this year’s award ceremony will take place in Melbourne on 24 November.
