Each of the five homes, which replaced two houses on the 2,400msq site in the town of Nuriootpa, the commercial centre of South Australia’s Barossa Valley, has been individually designed.
“These are not one-size-fits-all units — they are purpose-built, architecturally considered homes that reflect the identity of their occupants and the wider Barossa community,” said Barossa Village, about the ungated small community.
Environmental design specialist Elinor Walker, of ESD Planning and Design, helped Barossa Village unlock the potential of the landlocked site to demonstrate how independent living can be beautifully and intuitively integrated into existing neighbourhoods.
“This isn’t just about homes — it’s about a future where our community members can thrive independently, in spaces designed for them, in spaces designed for them in the region they love.” said Ben Hall, Barossa Villages CEO (pictured right).
