Silver Chain Group, Australia’s largest complex in-home health and aged care provider, has been named the preferred partner for Ingenia’s free Ingenia Connect program.
Ingenia Connect – launched as Ingenia Care in 2014 before its rebranding this year – connects residents of Ingenia communities to services and support.
According to Silver Chain’s Executive Director for Victoria, Carolyn Bell (pictured), Ingenia and Silver Chain have similar values, and the partnership will help residents access high-quality care.
“We’ve already seen significant benefits from the conversations we’ve had with residents at our pilot communities and can customise their care to best suit their health and wellbeing goals.
“We are committed to continuous improvement, innovation and investment in new models of care at Silver Chain, so working with Ingenia on a proactive support program means we can provide care before health needs become more urgent,” she said.
The move follows successful pilots in regional WA, regional Victoria, and metropolitan Melbourne; according to Ingenia Communities’ Portfolio Manager for Ingenia Gardens and Care, Madonna Jackson, the program builds on 14 years of experience delivering care.
“Ingenia Connect builds relationships with local health and community services, such as Silver Chain, to tailor care and support to individuals, removing the need for residents to find services themselves or place that pressure on their families.
“Older Australians often feel trepidation and fear when it comes to the idea of ‘care’, and by addressing health and aging sooner, we can actually empower residents to remain independent and delay the decline in health that often leads to higher care,” she said.
Other partners for the program include My Home Care and Five Good Friends.
