Belmont Golf Club latest to have independent retirement living approved

Lake Macquarie Council has approved the 18-hole Championship-quality golf club's development application to build 32 independent living units, communal spaces, and 43 car parking spaces in Belmont South, 134km north-northeast of Sydney's CBD.

There will be four one-bedroom apartments, 18 two-bedroom apartments and 10 three-bedroom units within two separate residential flat buildings of three and four storeys.

Pariter's State Significant Development to build seniors' housing in six buildings (ranging from five to seven storeys), with 234 independent living units, and a 38-bed residential care facility (three storeys), a cafe, and health, wellness and consulting rooms at Cumberland Golf Club, Greystanes, 25km west of Sydney's CBD, has reached the assessment stage. 

Aura Holdings has lodged plans with Brisbane City Council for a new retirement village with four buildings, ranging from two to five storeys and 126 independent living apartments, in the northwestern corner of McLeod Country Golf Club at Mount Ommaney in Brisbane’s western growth corridor.

The Merewether in Newcastle is a shared vision between Third.i's retirement living division, ThirdAge Villages, and Merewether Golf Club. Construction is set to begin in the first quarter of 2025 with the expected completion date 2027.
