The Weekly SOURCE reported on 21 February Aveo Chief Executive Officer Tony Randello was re-elected Council President.  Dr Brett Robinson, CEO of RetireAustralia and Chair of World Rugby, was re-elected Vice-President while Claire Scapinello, ECH Chief Executive, was also elected Vice-President, replacing Kim Teudt.

Supporting them is the Management Committee made up of:

“These leaders, like all RLC member representatives, are setting new benchmarks as industry champions during these challenging times," said Executive Director Daniel Gannon, 24 hours after convincing the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission to review proposed retirement village liquidity requirements and extend the deadline for submissions.

Daniel said the Management Committee and broader board are helping address key challenges in the retirement living sector, including liquidity ratios, supply complexities, and workforce shortages, while driving essential reforms to the Age Pension asset test threshold and Commonwealth Rent Assistance (CRA) and overseeing the successful rollout of the Shared Care pilot

The RLC has State Committees. The Chairs are:

  • NSW - Tamara Rasmussen, Head of Operations, Keyton

  • VIC - Derek McMillan, Managing Director, Centennial Living

  • QLD: Kim Teudt, Managing Director, Kim Teudt Advisory

  • WA: John Ford, CEO, St Ives Retirement Living

  • SA: Harish Bastian National Manager – Operations, RetireAustralia

  • ACT: Erik Boddeus, Exec. Manager Retirement Living, Goodwin Aged Care
