Embattled Ryman Healthcare appoint Property Council NZ Chair to board

Scott Pritchard, who has been CEO of NZX-listed Precinct Properties for the past 14 years, is due to retire from his role as chair of the NZ Property Council on 31 October having served 14 years on the board and has stepped down as a member of Health NZ’s Capital and Infrastructure Committee.

He will be appointed as an independent director of Ryman Healthcare from 1 November 2024.

“At Ryman, we are resetting the organisation to deliver not only great care for our residents but also great financial performance for our shareholders,” Executive Chairman Dean Hamilton said.

“We know that successfully building new Ryman villages will be a key part of that financial performance. As we transition to a stronger developer mindset and look to outsource significant elements of our design and construction, Scott’s proven experience in these areas at both Precinct and Goodman will be invaluable as the Board supports management through this process.”

Current director Claire Higgins will retire on 31 December 2024.
