The Sunshine Coast-based Not For Profit organisation has been without a CEO since February after the resignation of Helen Sharpley after almost two years in the role.
Now the community-based provider has revealed that former Eureka Group CEO Cameron Taylor has accepted the role.
Cameron resigned from Eureka, the country's only pure-play rental accommodation provider for seniors in July 2023 after taking three months off on leave in May that year to fully recover from a recent non-work related accident. He had been appointed as its CEO in July 2021 after joining the business as Chief Operating Officer in March 2019.
Sundale Chairperson Terence Seymour said Cameron's strategic vision and strong leadership skills are complemented by a deep understanding of the seniors living sector, including NDIS and aged care.
“Cameron’s expertise in property management, asset optimisation and stakeholder engagement, makes him exceptionally well-suited to lead Sundale towards a vibrant and sustainable future,” Terence said.
“His commitment to social challenges such as homelessness and loneliness aligns with Sundale’s values of compassion and community service."
Sundale owns and operates five retirement villages, seven aged care homes and home care services, employing over 600 people.
“I’m excited about the challenge and the opportunity to lead Sundale and help implement the Board’s strategic vision, which will ultimately lead to better services, more community-centric environments and greater stability of our operations,” said Cameron.
