Sangeeta Venkatesan first woman to be appointed RSL LifeCare Chair

Sangeeta has been serving as Interim Chair of the Not For Profit organisation operating 27 retirement villages, 29 residential care homes, 16 home care offices covering 22 service locations and five veteran and family hubs across NSW and the ACT since the resignation of Ewen Crouch, last month.

She has over 25 years of experience in the financial services sector, including being Global Chief Operating Officer, Global Markets FX, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, for five yars and 10 months and Co-Founder and Executive Chairman, Human Financial Pty Ltd, for four years.

In addition to co-founding an award-winning superannuation fund, Sangeeta is the President of Women in Banking and Finance and a Director on the Chief Executive Women Board, further underscoring her leadership and influence in the industry.

“Throughout her tenure as a RSL LifeCare Board Director, Ms Venkatesan has already made a significant positive impact on the organisation, leveraging her skills to strengthen the organisation’s governance framework, achieve financial stability, and embed strategic purpose as a cornerstone of decision-making,” said RSL LifeCare in a statement.

RSL LifeCare CEO Janet Muir said Sangeeta’s appointment will guide the organisation through its next phase of growth and service to the community.
