Summerset consolidates its Melbourne position while pushing to build 650-730 homes across NZ and Australia

Strong new home sales are supporting NZ based Summerset in building a significant Community Centre at its launch Australian village in VIC.

Work started on Summerset Cranbourne North, 39km southeast of Melbourne’s CBD in October 2023 and the first residents moved in the following April. Now the village’s Community Centre is taking shape.

“As awareness of Summerset’s brand continues to build in Australia, we’re happy with how sales and enquiries are tracking,” said a Summerset spokesperson.

“Delivering our Cranbourne North village centre later this year will give prospective residents a greater appreciation of what the Summerset brand represents.

“The three-storey building will be the heart of the community with stunning resort-style facilities including indoor swimming pool and spa pool, cafe, recreational bowling green, hair salon, cinema and resident bar.

“It will also support our Assisted Living Apartments and modern aged care home, providing residents with an onsite continuum of care should their needs change”.

Summerset reported a 14% increase in total sales of occupation rights for the first quarter of 2025, with a notable 31% rise in resales compared to the previous year. Despite a slow start in January, sales picked up in February and March, with a strong pipeline of contracts moving into the second quarter. The company remains on track to build 650-730 homes in New Zealand and Australia in FY2025.
