The 209 proposed two- and three-bedroom homes in Eagle Point Lifestyle Estate will be the operator’s first in Victoria's Gippsland Lakes region.
Located between the towns of Bairnsdale and Paynesville, the community will have northeasterly water views of King Lake. Following approval, Lincoln Place aims to start construction of Stage 1 homes and resort-style amenities immediately and welcome its first residents within 12 months, said CEO Paul Yeo.
Homes will be to Liveable Housing Australia Silver standard allowing residents to comfortably age in place. Homes will be fitted with solar panels, water tanks to supplement grey water usage and light-coloured roofs with a focus on sustainable outcomes.
Community facilities will include a resident clubhouse featuring a games room, VR golf simulator, cinema, community kitchen and bar as well as a library, residents lounge and alfresco dining areas. The adjoining wellness centre will include an art/craft studio, gym and class space, indoor heated swimming pool and sauna. Residents can maintain an active lifestyle with outdoor recreation amenities including a competition-sized bowls green and pickleball court.
Lincoln Place, set up in 2018 by Nick Collishaw and Ben Hindmarsh, identified Eagle Point as an attractive location for downsizers due to its peaceful coastal atmosphere and proximity to supermarkets, medical facilities and transport options in nearby Bairnsdale Town Centre. Neighbouring Paynesville is a popular tourist destination boasting plenty of dining options, boutique shops, and waterfront attractions, perfect for boating enthusiasts.
