The senior adviser has established his own healthcare and real estate firm, Arrow Advisory Group, focused on primary care, medical centres, retirement living, residential aged care and hospitals. It has just completed a major deal.
Previously the National Director – Transaction Services and Head of Healthcare & Retirement Living at Colliers for six years following a stint at Japara Healthcare, Shalain has facilitated the successful transaction of a proposed integrated Healthcare and Life Sciences Hub precinct, on behalf of St John’s College at the University of Sydney, the second oldest University College in Australia.
Property fund manager ISPT and superannuation fund Australian Retirement Trust (ART) have secured the rights to the College’s 6,000sqm site positioned between Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and the University of Sydney on Missenden Road, Camperdown, 4km southwest of the Sydney CBD, over a 99-year period following a campaign led by Arrow Advisory Group, together with KPMG and Corrs.
The project, which has an expected end value of $585 million, is set to deliver circa 30,000sqm of space containing acute private hospital services, consulting suites, specialist medical occupiers such as pathology and diagnostics, education and medical research/life sciences organisations.
