Aged care furniture that can be disassembled, cleaned, and reupholstered in minutes

In May, LifeCare Furniture founder and director, Ian Reinhardt, will launch SYSTM, a range of aged care furniture developed so that it can be easily dismantled for thorough and hygienic cleaning and on-site reupholstery within minutes.

“SYSTM is... built to solve some of the biggest problems in the aged care market,” said Ian.

The first furniture of its kind, SYSTEM has been designed to significantly prolong a chair's life with easy reupholstery and cleaning.

SYSTM uses a unique key and bolt design, meaning that within a few clicks, aged care operators can reupholster furniture on-site or order overnight delivery of replacement upholstery pieces. No professional help is needed.

Once reupholstered, each piece of furniture is as clean as when it first arrived.

SYSTM reduces waste and lowers costs and is safe for residents, being made with anti-microbial, anti-bacterial fabric and being treated with water and fire retardant.

The furniture has been carefully designed to look "pleasing and dignified” for residents. There are 21 designs and models with multiple fabric and leg options, including high-back lounge and dining chairs, and sofas.
