Arcare Belmont, located about 18km from the centre of Newcastle, opened its doors this week and invited its first residents to move in.

The permanent care development contains 80 suites within two communities tailored to care needs.

The home uses Arcare’s ‘Dedicated Relationship’ model, which places relationships between the residents, their family and team members at the centre.

Arcare Belmont is designed with a coastal-style interior, fitted with 100kw solar panels, and built with materials such as steel frames, Hebel panels, water-saving fixtures, and insulation to assist with natural cooling and heating.

Private operator Arcare operates 51 aged care homes across Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria.
