Disgraced aged care brothers summonsed over $24M in missing RADs

1 min read

Liquidators of Chronos Care have applied for summons to be issued to disgraced operators Chris and Gerry Apostolatos, over their involvement in companies used to operate two Melbourne aged care homes.

More than $24 million in RADs went missing when the company went bankrupt, forcing the Federal Government to step in and become the largest creditor of the business.

Chronos Care operated aged care homes in Melbourne’s Alphington and Mount Eliza and was placed into voluntary administration in July 2021.

Prior to their aged care venture, the brothers were poultry farmers, and were infamously banned from running a company after the death of 86,000 chickens.

The brothers allegedly hid their involvement in Chronos Care and used money from the aged care business to pay for mortgages, holidays and luxury cars.
