Demand for the fourth stage of Aura Holdings’ Kingsford Terrace retirement village at Corinda, 12km from the Brisbane CBD, has forced the company to fast-track stage five.
Hutchinson Builders will now build the O’Neill Architecture-designed stage four and stage five together. Stage four is 18 two and three-bedroom apartments and the stage five building will offer 30 units in one-bedroom, two-bedroom with study, or three-bedroom options.
Aura Holdings’ director Mark Taylor said since the start of 2021 demand for independent-living apartments at Kingsford Terrace has been at a record high for the Brisbane-based provider and operator.
“In the past two months alone, we have sold 16 apartments,” he said.
Construction of the two blocks is scheduled to start on 14 June with completion during the second half of 2022. The apartments that remain for sale range from $590,000 to $980,000.
The pet-friendly village offers a heated indoor pool, café, gym, hairdresser, a cellar to store wine, a billiards room, library, dining and functions room and consulting areas for allied health professionals.
