GemLife wants to build an extra 39 dwellings on land adjacent to its 230-lot Highfields land lease community in Toowoomba, in the Darling Downs region of southern Queensland,
RPS Group, on behalf of the Gold Coast-based land lease operator, applied for the expansion to be treated as a separate community and also sought an operational works proposal, which if also approved, would allow GemLife to start construction quickly.
RPS Group said the new units would be part of Highfields and use facilities at the gated community including its two-storey country club, indoor heated swimming pool and spa, cinema, gym and yoga studio, ten-pin bowling, games room, indoor golf simulator, bar and coffee lounge.
The DA comes a year after GemLife sought an expansion of 55 dwellings on community land.
Its website states Stage 5 is now selling, with homes from $615,000.
