Hometown Australia’s 193-home resort Sunrise in Port Stephens, NSW, sold out

Hometown Australia’s latest land lease resort Sunrise at Bobs Farm, Port Stephens, 44km northeast of Newcastle, NSW, is sold out and planning the next stage.

“Sunrise Lifestyle Community is currently sold out with further development underway with 190 homes currently being built with our partner MJH Multi Residential Projects,” said a Hometown Australia’s spokeswoman.

“Homes are scheduled to be completed by mid to late 2022.”

Hometown paid $9.4 million for the site - then approval for 188 homes, in 2017.

There is a wait list with people who have sold their homes.

Sunrise is Hometown Australia’s first resort-style operation in Port Stephens. Homestead at Salamander Bay; Sandy Shores at Salamander Bay and Sea Winds at Anna Bay are nearby established communities.

Hometown Australia is part of US housing corporation Hometown America which operates about 66 communities in 12 states of the US. In Australia, there are over 52 communities with approximately 10,000 residents.

In NSW, it is currently developing The Pines at Woolgoolga, 20 minutes’ drive north of Coffs Harbour, and Glenfern Thrumster, 10 minutes’ from Port Macquarie.
