The business, which buys holiday parks from private, public and corporate sellers, has formally submitted its previously disclosed plan to add 81 homes, caravan storage, internal roads fencing and  landscaping stage 5 and 6 at Waikerie Lifestyle Village, the first and only over 55s land lease community in South Australia’s Riverland.

The Edwards Group announced the plans in September 2022, stating it would almost double the land lease community, which is located by the Murray River. A total of 150 homes are planned for the completed development.

There are two- and three-bedroom homes, with one or two bathrooms and one or two living spaces. A two-bedroom home with one bathroom and a car space is selling from $307,000. Residents can choose to design and build their home, pick a readily available floorplan or buy a newly built spec home.
