Helen, who resigned after five years as CEO of Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT) in September 2023, replaces Jason Oldridge, who finished his term as executive director of the Not For Profit earlier this year.
Catholic Care Western Sydney and Blue Mountains, whose 2023 Focus Programs were Bushfire and Disaster Recovery, Parish Refugee Sponsorship, Support for Refugees and Pets and Animal Welfare Support, is the Diocese of Parramatta's social welfare agency. Helen has served on its Advisory Council since 2019.
The CEO spent a decade at Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT). Previously Helen held senior management roles in the care sector, including at the Australian Foundation for Disability, Blind Veterans UK, Sussex (NHS) Trust in the UK, and Uniting Care. She began her career as a Registered Nurse, specialising in mental health, at the former Rozelle Hospital in Sydney's Inner West.
Monique Reynolds was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT) in January 2024 after serving in the role in an interim capacity for three months.
