The Aged and Community Care Providers Association (ACCPA) National Conference is fast-approaching, and for the first time ever, the aged care peak body has dedicated a day of its flagship event to its retirement living sector members. 

The Strategic Spotlight on Retirement Living and Seniors Housing to be held on Friday, 25 October, at the Adelaide Convention Centre will feature three sessions across the day designed to discuss the challenges and opportunities for retirement villages and seniors’ housing. 

Speakers will include: 

Tom Symondson, CEO of ACCPA – Strategic Spotlight on Retirement Living and Seniors Housing 

Tom will be highlighting the key issues facing retirement village and senior’ housing operators, including the impact of the Government’s latest aged care reforms on the sector. 

Chris Baynes, CEO of DCM Group – State of the Nation  

A respected journalist and commentator on the seniors’ living sectors, Chris will share his insights on the risks and rewards for operators across the country, with a full debriefing on the retirement living and aged care landscape. 

Cathy Hecimovich, CEO of Ontario Retirement Communities Association (ORA) – The Canadian Perspective on Senior Housing and Home Care  

The CEO of ORA since 2018, Cathy will present on the unique village and care model in Ontario –where retirement villages are regulated but home care is not – and share the experiences of her members in delivering care services in retirement living in Toronto.
