Family-owned Pine Needles Village named NSW Land Lease Community of the Year

“Winning this award is a testament to our team’s hard work and commitment to excellence and we are incredibly proud to be recognised,” said the owner Jenny Phillips, who started the over-55s land lease community in Erina, 81km north-northeast of Sydney’s CBD, in 1993. 

With 11.3ha of landscaped gardens at the foot of the scenic Kincumber Mountain, the village comprises of 328 homes.  

The Land Lease Living Industry Association (NSW) 2024 Awards of Excellence, which were held at the Sofitel Wentworth Hotel in Sydney on Wednesday, 20 November, said Pine Needles Village was victorious for its “exceptional support and engagement with residents offering initiatives like ‘Sit and Chat’ sessions along with beautiful gardens encouraging connection, which made it a standout choice for this honour.” 

Hometown Australia took out the NSW Land Lease Community Engagement award for its exceptional work fostering connection and well-being across its communities in NSW through a range of initiatives supported by excellent communication and a strong community spirit.
