The property developer, which launched itself on the rapidly developing seniors' land lease model in May, has now announced plans for a 130-home, gated Over 55s community in the new Waraba (Caboolture West) mini city, north of Brisbane.
The development application lodged with City of Moreton Bay is Stage 1. Lot sizes range from 298sqm to 472sqm.
The community would feature a tennis court, bowling green, gym, pickleball courts, two swimming pools and a community centre.
With affiliated company Villaworld Homes, Avid in May announced it had spent $284.5 million to buy eight land lease communities from Living Gems and launched the $1.1 billion Vantage land lease communities' brand.
On completion of the Living Gems acquisition, the Vantage business had 14 land lease communities across 3,800 sites comprising 1,800 operational sites and 2,000 development sites.
The Avid project and Stockland’s nearby Halcyon Glades estate would involve 600-700 seniors’ dwellings. Also nearby, Living Gems Caboolture lifestyle resort is nearly sold out.
Avid's first announced Vantage communities are Bloomdale in Diggers Rest, 28km northwest of Melbourne; Harmony in Palmview, Sunshine Coast, 108km north of Brisbane; and in Hervey Bay, on the Fraser Coast, 290km north of Brisbane.
Construction has just begun on the 300 over-55s home in the 23ha site Vantage Hervey Bay.
