Stuart and Laurraine Murray to build their first retirement village and aged care facility in Gladstone, QLD

Over the past 20 years the family business has been constructing residential, multi-residential and industrial sites.

“We pride ourselves on delivering projects which meet a community or social need,” said Stuart.

Many people in Gladstone seeking retirement living options had been forced to move elsewhere. Murray Group is spending $80 million to build Flinders Village and address the shortfall.

Flinders Village, will be built 800m from Tannum Sands beach, 600m from the central retail hub and less than 25km from Gladstone’s CBD, 517km northwest of Brisbane.

Spread across 5.3ha, it will have 100 two- and three-bedroom retirement living villas, a 104-bed residential aged care facility and community facilities.

Stage 1 civils are due for completion at the end of 2024, and building construction is scheduled to commence in early 2025, with completion scheduled for early 2026. It will be built over eight stages.

Aged care services will be delivered by Nobel Life Pacific
