Harbourside by Scalabrini in Drummoyne in Sydney’s Inner West to have 54 independent living units and care hub with two specialist units

1 min read

The Not For Profit’s CEO Richard de Haast’s vision for the 65-year-old closed independent living and nursing home in two buildings in Drummoyne, 6km west of Sydney’s CBD, which looks onto Parramatta River, has been revealed.

The redevelopment of the decommissioned Scalabrini Village Drummoyne, if approved, will see substantial internal alterations and minor additions to the existing building on the site to deliver its ‘continuum of care’ in a more contemporary integrated care and accommodation model.

Harbourside by Scalabrini will provide independent living, low to high care in the care hub specialist rooms, palliative and end of life care in the care hub specialist rooms and private respite care in one of the care hub specialist rooms. It will also care for people with cognitive impairment including dementia.

An on-site café looking onto the harbour will operate seven days a week for the exclusive use of all residents and be the envy of all in the sector..
