Uniting NSW.ACT has acquired Find a Carer, a For Purpose online workforce tool, with the aim of delivering greater flexibility for carers and clients in community services.
“Our commitment to invest in Find a Carer underscores our ongoing focus on leveraging cutting-edge technology to improve the care experience for our clients and the people who provide the valuable care to them," said Saviour Buhagiar (pictured below left), Uniting NSW.ACT’s Director of Seniors Services, who is also on the board of Find a Carer.
The acquisition is intended to assist Uniting NSW.ACT with recruitment and staff retention, and service delivery.
“The changing nature of the workforce and the expectations for even greater flexibility and choice of people needing support means we have to find new ways to ensure that professional and committed carers are available to deliver tailored support to clients," said Saviour.
“It also means we need to look for novel ways to ensure this cohort of carers who value flexibility remain in the aged care and disability care sectors."
Zubin Appoo (pictured right), newly appointed CEO of Find a Carer, has more than 20 years' experience with 'software as a service' technology, including with WiseTech Global, Flexischools, LanternPay and HICAPS.
“This investment is poised to empower carers with more efficient tools and resources, while directly enhancing the quality of care received by clients,” Zubin added.
