Grandton Applecross in Perth shows the demand for new retirement living with care suites

1 min read

It's all systems go as John Frame's dream becomes reality. The former Bethanie and Baptistcare WA CFO conceived Grandton 10 years ago.

The strata building is made up of 80 apartments and a 10 bed Private Care Suite; 75% have been sold off the plan. All four penthouses have now been sold.

"The last penthouse was sold 18 months after the first. It sold for a price 28% higher than the first. The internal living space is 210msq with balcony sizes 45-50msq,” he said.

"More recent sale prices are significantly higher than those first sold and exceed the rising costs of construction experienced.”

Roshana Care Group will be providing Residential Aged Care Services, Home Care Services, NDIS Services, Mental Health Services and Retirement Living for the Grandton Applecross project.

One-bedroom apartments, which have been selling from $859,000, have sold out. 25 of the 36 two-bedroom apartments, priced from $1.287 million, have been accounted for and 13 of 16 three-bedroom units from $2.195 million have been bought.

John said due to trade shortages in the construction sector in Perth, the Practical Completion date by developer Norup+Wilson for Grandton Applecross has been pushed out from December 2023 to end of July 2024.
