Ocean View Lifestyle Estate, would if approved, be the second Over 50s lifestyle resort in the historic river port on the Murray River near the Murray Mouth in South Australia.
It would join Lakeside Lifestyle Estate, which The SOURCE reported last month seeks to double in size, in Goolwa.
With capital costs of over $180 million the Goolwa Lifestyle Villages’ 15.5ha development has been put to public consultation. With 318 single and two-storey homes, it includes a community and function centre, with pool, cinema and ten pin bowling lanes, sports facilities and landscaped streets and gardens.
“We have a huge database of people looking to move down this way … there is huge demand for these villages in SA, we’re trying to meet that demand,” a spokesman said.
“Subject to council, we would like to commence civil works as soon possible – we’d love to see the first people move in before the end of next year,”
Two- or three-bedroom homes of four different options would range from about 140msq to 300msq with small backyard areas.
